Visa Information

Visa Requirements

  1. Visa-Free Entry
Citizens from many countries can enter Indonesia without a visa for short stays (typically up to 30 days). Check if your country is eligible for visa-free entry on the official Indonesian immigration website.
  2. Visa on Arrival
If you are not eligible for visa-free entry, you may apply for a Visa on Arrival (VoA). This visa allows you to stay in Indonesia for up to 30 days and can be extended for another 30 days. Make sure to have a valid passport, return ticket, and sufficient funds for your stay.
  3. Tourist Visa
For longer stays, consider applying for a Tourist Visa at your nearest Indonesian embassy or consulate before your trip. This visa allows for stays of up to 60 days, with the possibility of extension.

Immigration Process

  • Arrival at the Airport
Upon arrival at Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA), follow the signs to immigration. Have your passport, visa (if applicable), and any required documents ready for inspection.
  • Customs Regulations
Be aware of Indonesia’s customs regulations, including restrictions on certain items. Declare any goods if necessary to avoid complications.

Helpful Tips

  • Check for Updates
Visa policies can change, so it’s advisable to check the latest information before your trip.
  • Travel Insurance
Consider purchasing travel insurance to cover any unexpected situations during your stay.
  • Stay Informed
Keep a copy of your visa and important documents handy while traveling within Indonesia.
